This weekend Basil, Beckett, and I are in Atlanta babysitting Miss Devon. The four of us are off for an afternoon adventure to the Grossology exhibit at Fernbank, in honor of Rosie Brown’s 39th birthday.
Babysitting Devon is delightful? She and Beckett have been pretty sweet together. One minute they’re playing the “Don’t touch me. Don’t look at me. Don’t even think about me.” game, and the next minute they’re giving each other five, and blowing kisses. It’s kind of cool that Beckett has a cousin so close in age. I hope they’re going to be great friends growing up. Devon is such a wonderful person. She’s gorgeous, and smart, and smiles slyly when you’re being silly with her. She has an incredible look in her eye. One that lets you know that she might have a few things figured out already, but she’ll humor you as you explain how it works.
She’s something else. Something extraordinary.
