Five years ago today, Basil and I got married at The Abbey in Atlanta. All of our friends and family were there, with the exception of my Daddy, who had passed away only 6 weeks before the wedding.

We stood in front of all the most important people in our lives and committed ourselves to each other, come what may. I don’t think until you are married, you can truly understand what kind of a committment that really is.

I love you, Basil. And I am proud to be your wife of five years. Happy Anniversary, Boo Boo.
