We’re snaking our way back down I-75 through Michigan, and are on our way home. I should be in my office again on Monday morning, surrounded by my puppets and having slept in my own bed the night before.

I’m happy to be going home. The older I get, the more of a homebody I become. But I’m not complaining. The view from my summer office chair was always stunning.
