The Green Button Shirt

On Monday, Beckett put on a green dress shirt with pockets for picture day at school. When he got home, he reported that he and his friend Nicholas had played Power Rangers, and that he was the green power ranger. I made the connection between the shirt and the green power ranger, but didn’t fully grasp the consequences of that simple play date.

Today, for the third day in a row, Beckett has insisted on wearing the green dress shirt with the pockets. After much crying, gnashing of teeth, and generaly mayhem, I gave in this morning and let him wear the wrinkled, stained, disgusting shirt again.

This video is exactly how I felt as a parent this morning trying to get my 3 year old dressed for school. I wound up in the white fluffy stuff.
