This is Beckett all dressed up, and on his way the Montessori Holiday Program. He and his class sang Bah Bah Black Sheep, Hot Chocolate, and Popsicle Toes. It was Beckett’s first live stage performance, and I actually cried when I saw him up on stage singing.
Tis the season to be sappy.
While we were eating dinner at Beckett’s favorite restaurant, El Patron, before the show he said “I need something in my PAPEL!” So, I plucked a leaf from one of the plants hanging by the register, and placed it in the button hole. I kissed him and said, “Nice use of the word, lapel, sweetie. Your’e so smart. And I’m very proud of you.”
I am. Very very proud.
