The Asian Festival is this week at Montessori, and Beckett’s class is studying China. In the spirit of learning, and the fact that Basil, the Chinese food hater, is out of town, Beckett and I went to Master Wok for dinner. This was Beckett’s first trip to a Chinese restaurant. He’s fond of Thai, but we never have Chinese.
We had some sesame chicken, rice, and cheese wanton. Beckett thought it was delightful. He especially liked all of the dragons on the walls.
While we were there, we talked about China. Beckett told me this: “If you get sick in Chinese, they stick needles in your FACE!”
