This is a rare shot of Basil actually letting the dogs sit in the kitchen while he is in there cooking. Normally he makes them sit in the dining room, and they dare not even cross the threshold. They always try to sneak across, soldier crawling their way into the kitchen, trying not to get caught.
Basil let them stay because I wanted to get a picture of Gizmo’s haircut. As you can see, they weren’t taking any chances. They sat politely and waited to see if anything (MEAT!) might come their way.
